Local storage and save data

Koiiro stores settings and save data on the user's device, including language selection, heroine configuration, relationship state, short memory summaries, event flags, BGM preferences, and optional API provider settings.

The app is designed to store compact summaries and emotional memories rather than permanent full conversation transcripts.

API keys

If a user enters an OpenRouter or Gemini API key, the key is stored locally on that user's device and is sent only to the selected provider when the user asks the app to generate cloud AI dialogue. API keys are not payment credentials for Koiiro.

Exported save files are designed to omit API keys. Users should still treat all exported save data as private.

External AI providers

When cloud AI generation is used, prompts and necessary story context may be sent from the user's browser to the selected external AI provider. Users should review their provider's privacy and data-use terms before entering a key.

Koiiro can run in local scenario mode without an API key, although cloud dialogue generation may improve variation when configured.

Ads

Koiiro may show ads on non-conversation screens such as the title, Support, Settings, Memories, or other transition pages. Ads are not placed inside active conversations or intimate/afterglow moments.

Future production ad partners may process standard technical data such as device/browser information, approximate network information, and ad delivery events according to their own policies. Koiiro should not ask users to click ads.
